We are starting our group at the University of Houston in Fall 2026 around shared interests in geohazards, earthquake mechanics, computational mechanics, and scientific machine learning.

Mohamed Abdelmeguid
I am an incoming Assistant Professor at the University of Houston. My research connects geophysics and geomechanics to understand faulting, rupture dynamics, induced seismicity, and subsurface hazards using experiments, computation, and scientific machine learning.
